H&M, the fast fashion mega chain, has enlisted French actress/singer/deity Vanessa Paradis to model its latest Conscious collection. Paradis, a big vintage shopper herself, seems like the perfect ambassador for the allegedly more eco-friendly line made entirely of sustainable materials.
"I try my best to shop consciously, and vintage is very much part of my wardrobe," Johnny Depp**'s baby mama said in a press release. "I love the style and it works in an eco-friendly way because I like to use and reuse old clothes."
We can't disagree—the collection, which H&M describes as being "full of optimism," is exactly what we want to be wearing come springtime: Soft florals and tropical prints, statement embellishments, romantic silhouettes, and sporty shapes–as well as accessories and offerings for the deserving men and kiddies in your life.
In an effort to secure its stake as a sustainable corporation, H&M has also released new details on its upcoming clothing exchange initiative–launching on March 25 alongside the new collection. Customers will receive H&M vouchers (for 15% off, as previously reported) for each bag of clothing donated, up to two bags a day—at participating stores. Now that's the kind of sustainable fashion we can really get behind.
