Less than 24 hours after Taylor Swift performed during KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball at the Nokia Theatre in L.A, the country music superstar flew to New York City to spend time with One Direction's Harry Styles**.

After flirting on the X Factor set in mid-November, the musicians have been hoping to spend more time together -- and they finally got their chance Dec. 2. Joined by a few pals, Swift, 22, and Styles, 18, were all smiles while visiting the Central Park Zoo.

Shortly after they were spotted in the Big Apple, fans began sharing pictures of the two stars on Twitter. "Just saw Taylor Swift," one wrote. "Holy crap!"

Swift split with high school senior Conor Kennedy, 18, in October. "She doesn't want to be single," a source recently told Us Weekly.

Styles -- who named Swift as his celebrity crush in the November issue of Seventeen! -- isn't the only One Direction member who's off the market: Louis Tomlinson, 20, is romancing college student Eleanor Calder, 20, while Zayn Malik, 19, is seeing Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, 19.
