As news of Kate Middleton's first pregnancy makes worldwide headlines, Prince William**'s royal bride is receiving parenting advice from an unlikely source: Jersey Shore's Snooki.

Welcoming her first child, son Lorenzo Dominic, in August 2012, Snooki felt qualified to offer the mom-to-be her top suggestions for a healthy pregnancy. "It's hard, but don't stress out!" Snooki told The New York Daily News, relaying her words of wisdom to the Duchess of Cambridge, 30. "Enjoy your pregnancy and be excited."

Once Middleton and husband, also 30, take their new bundle of joy home to Kensington Palace, Snooki tells the Duchess to make the most of her maternity leave. "Enjoy your time at home -- or the castle, in her case -- with the baby," Snooki, 25, told The News. "You'll get to know him/her, keep them safe and fall more in love each day!"

Confirming her happy news Monday, Dec. 3 via a statement from St. James's Palace, Middleton will be the first commoner in 350 years to give birth to the future king or queen of England. "Kate will be a firm but fair mother," predicts one friend of Middleton, who wed Prince William in April 2011. "Kate will let her children have fun and freedom, but she will also make sure they do what is best for them."

Adopting the 'when it happens, it happens' approach to family planning, Middleton and her husband couldn't be more thrilled with their impending arrival. "Trying for a baby has been their priority, a royal confidant tells Us. "They're both excited to be focusing on a new chapter in their lives."
