She may be a multibillionaire, but Oprah Winfrey** is still a DIY kinda gal.

The TV mogul, 58, began preparing a Thanksgiving feast Nov. 20, which she documented in a series of Instagram photos. "Caramelized onions [are] so pretty they make me sing," she wrote in one caption. "[My] kitchen smells like home."

The following day, Winfrey prepared "sweet potatoes with freshly pickled rosemary" and even shared her secret cranberry sauce recipe. "Boil the berries in orange juice. Add cinnamon, cloves, allspice and chill. Happy Thanksgiving!"

In the November issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, the TV personality admitted she had fallen out of her decade-long habit of keeping a gratitude journal. "Life got busy. My schedule overwhelmed me," she explained. "I still opened my journal some nights, but my ritual of writing down five things I was grateful for every day started slipping away."

Winfrey returned to journaling -- electronically! -- while in the process of building her OWN television network. "Whenever there's a grateful moment,I note it. I know for sure that appreciating whatever shows up for you in life changes your personal vibration. You radiate and generate more goodness for yourself hen you're aware of all you have and not focusing on your have-nots."

She added, "I've learned from experience that if you pull the lever of gratitude every day, you'll be amazed at the results."
