From the looks of the photos she occasionally posts on her Tumblr, "C'est la vie" means something very different for Beyonce than it does for the rest of us.

Jay-Z's** love took to her personal website this week to give fans a glimpse at her incredible 31st birthday celebration -- which involved a cruise through the South of France in early September. (Beyonce's special day falls on September 4.)

In one of the images, the makeup-free singer stuns in little more than her bikini and a blue-and-green caftan cover-up. In another, the fresh-faced beauty, with her hair tied back, rocks a varsity-style navy sweater with "J" emblazoned on the chest.

These new pics were posted just a few days after Beyonce shared an image of herself seated in a recording booth -- hinting that she may be working on another album, which would be her first project since she welcomed daughter Blue Ivy in early 2012.
