Rihanna Talks Disastrous 777 Tour:
November 21, 2012

Clearly, you can't teach even a not-so-old pop star new tricks.

Just a few hours after she issued a quasi-apology for her disastrous 777 tour -- during which she avoided the journalists she was supposed to be spending time with, and kept fellow passengers waiting for hours on end -- Rihanna had fallen back into her bad habits.

Concertgoers in NYC waited more than two hours for the "Diamonds" songstress, 24, to finally take the stage at Webster Hall for the tour's final concert. (Her band and crew kicked back at the venue's bar while they waited for Rihanna to show.) Post-show, Rihanna kept the party going, hanging with her mentor Jay-Z backstage before hitting her Unapologetic album release party at Jay's 40/40 Club. (The "Watch the Throne" rapper didn't stay long at the bash -- he left around 1:30 a.m., before the evening's honoree even arrived.)

Speaking to fans at a Q&A earlier that evening, Rihanna painted a very different picture of the less-than-stellar morale on her 777 tour, which took the pop star -- plus hundreds of exhausted fans and members of the press -- through seven shows in seven countries in seven days on a 777 airplane.

"There were so many people on it . . . it was great!" she exclaimed. "It was a once in a lifetime experience."

What do you expect? Jay Z is her mentor and he and his wife are the same way. All you need to do is see who they surround themselves with in most cases.jmo

I don't get the big deal about her or her singing. Today's music has no soul or meaning. Give me music from the 60's, 70's and 80's any day.
