What happens when people stop being polite and start getting real? They go to jail.

Real World: San Francisco cast member David "Puck" Rainey, 44, is officially locked up in a California prison after being convicted of stalking a woman earlier this year, TMZ reports.

Rainey, who became famous on the MTV show's third season for his outspoken and often brash nature, committed the alleged crime on Feb. 22 and pled "no contest" to the charge in April. Not much else is known about the incident, but TMZ notes that the reality star was sentenced to more than one year of jail time for it -- which suggests he may have violated a court order.

This is not Rainey's first brush with the law. In 2009, the former Real World roommate was reportedly arrested on charges of battery following an incident with his then-girlfriend. The next year, he was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence. And in 2011, he was booked on suspicion of felony corporal injury after a scrape with his wife, Betty.

The MTV star had his share of problems during his 1994 run on the show, too. His conflicts with the other San Francisco housemates led to him becoming only the second cast member ever to be evicted from the house.

Rainey is currently serving his two-year sentence at Wasco State Prison in California.
