Home sweet home!

Katy Perry** spends much of her time on the road performing to thousands, but the singer was able to take a break from her busy schedule Nov. 12 to spend time in the one place she can always come back to: Her Santa Barbara, Calif., hometown. Also along for the whirlwind getaway? Perry's on-again boyfriend John Mayer**, who accompanied the "Firework" singer on a romantic tour of The Old Mission, a source tells Us Weekly.

Casually clad in hats and jackets, the stars attempted to go incognito as they took the Mission's self-guided museum tour, exploring the Mission grounds, the cemetery and the Mission Church.

"It was just the two of them walking around at their own pace, just normal behavior," an eyewitness tells Us of Perry, 28, and Mayer, 35, who were on site for about an hour. Later, the couple visited the Santa Barbara Mission Archived Library, where Mayer chatted up librarians about the local history.

Though they briefly split in August, the duo has been going strong since reuniting in September. After celebrating both of their October birthday's together, they partied in Hollywood Nov. 10 for the birthdays of Hello Giggles blogger Sophia Rossi and New Girl co-creator Liz Meriwether.

Now that they're on again, Perry "believes she can change" Mayer, a source explained of Perry's infatuation with the singer, whose jilted exes include Taylor Swift, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, and Jennifer Love-Hewitt. "She doesn't want to be just another one of his conquests."
