Neve Campbell: Why I Named My Son Caspian
December 27, 2012

Neve Campbell** hasn't said a word about her 5-month-old son Caspian -- until now!

Appearing on The Talk Dec. 25, the Scream 4 actress revealed how she and boyfriend JJ Feild chose their baby boy's name. "I like having a unique name -- it's [my mom's] maiden name, Neve -- and not a lot of people have it," the Scream 4 star explained. "It's nice having something special and different and so I wanted something like that for our son."

Campbell added that she and Feild "had a list of about five" names to choose from. "We decided that we'd wait and see and meet him and then decide," she recalled. "And when we were in the hospital when he was born, we realized we could only remember one and that was Caspian, so it seemed like it was right."

The Party of Five actress' rep confirmed her pregnancy in March 2012. Neither Cambell nor Feild announced their son's fall birth. Instead, they quietly stepped out with the newborn in L.A. in August.

I lean more towards traditional names but that is every parents'right, to name their children what they wish. My only request is that they stop and consider how the child may feel about it and how nasty other children could be, especially regarding differences between themselves and other children.
