Mitt Romney Enjoys Family Dinner Out With Wife Ann, Grandchildren After Election Loss
November 12, 2012

After losing the 2012 presidential election on Nov. 6 to President Barack Obama**, Mitt Romney is spending quality time with his family.

The formerpresidential hopeful enjoyed a low-key dinner out without secret service at Lumiere restaurant in Newtown, Mass Saturday night, a source tells Us Weekly.

Romney, 65, dined with wife Ann, 63, and some of their family members, an eyewitness says. (Mitt and Ann are parents to sons Taggart, Matthew, Joshua, Benjamin and Craig. They also have 18 grandchildren, with one more on the way.)

Though the source tells Us that Romney "looked a little down," his wife was cheering him up and "being affectionate."

During his concession speech, Romney thanked his family for their support.

"I also want to thank Ann, the love of my life. She would have been a wonderful first lady. She has been that and more to me and to our family and to the many people that she has touched with her compassion and her care," the former governor of Massachusetts said. "I thank my sons for their tireless work on behalf of the campaign, and thank their wives and children for taking up the slack as their husbands and dads have spent so many weeks away from home."

"I so wish that I had been able to fulfill your hopes to lead the country in a different direction, but the nation chose another leader," Romney concluded. "And so Ann and I join with you to earnestly pray for him and for this great nation."

Hey, US Weekly, do you not have editors or fact checkers? It's Newton, Mass, not Newtown. It's a pretty large, affluent, well known Boston suburb.

Although I did not support Romney, I do wish him and his family well. The campaign was bigger than him.... it was about his republican constintuents, and wealthy corporations wishes that were pulling the strings during his campaign for president. When he made his consession speech, that was the first time that I saw him show REAL emotion, and seemed to be sincere about his party cooperating with the Obama administration to assist with moving this country forward.

First off its good to know there are a few people on this site that although they didn't vote for Romney, still have enough decency to wish he and his family the best.Second,Its also sad to see that there are still people out there that think that everyone who didn't vote for Mr.Obama is racist.

@ Madorah, where have you been all these years on the planet Mars? Everyone knows, including the Republicans, that Bush had this country in so much mess. Romney tried his best to not have Bush endorse him. If any one I feel sorry for is Obama having to come behind Bush. This country needed someone smart to run this country. Obama has said numerous times that he's a Christian. His actions are more Christ like than all these other people claiming to be a Christian. I notice how humble he is, and that's why God honored him again to be President. Romney came across as very arrogant and prideful. Tried to judge people and put people in boxes. The American people did not like the comments of the 47% and him trying to put the American people down. Yea the Repunlicans try to say they are Christians and run on the stance of pro life, even in the case of r a p e, and against gay marriage, yet they will never get rid of abortions or gay marriage! Why, because a lot of the Republicans are closeted gays. The comments against Obama are purely out of racism because if there was a white man with his credentials such as being a Harvard graduate, etc., none of these comments would be made. Your judging him purely on the color of his skin, which he can't choose what race he wants to be. It's like anytime Obama wants a law passed that the republicans originally supported, if Obama says he likes it, or want to enforce it, the Republicans then decide they don't want it. So Obama is having to battle a lot and that's why there is a need for both parties to come together to reach a middle ground. The American people need to pray for Obama and get the spirit of racism out your heart. He is President whether you like it or not and accept the choice and respect it! No one acted like this about Bush being reelected after so many loved ones were affected by the wars and never no weapons of mass destruction were found. So don't spew hatred toward Obama who's working his hardest to get America back on track.
