Lindsay Lohan's looking to make a fresh start in 2013 -- starting with her new Venice, Calif. mansion!

Hiring Million Dollar Decorators designer Kathryn M. Ireland to make over her home, Lohan takes Bravo viewers inside her updated digs on the January 1 episode of the reality series. As a preview clip from Lohan's episode shows, her pad -- which she rents for a reported $8,000 a month -- was decorated with nothing but Lohan's Chanel handbags until Ireland came along.

"I think this house is a fresh start for Lindsay. In my designs I really need to bear that in mind -- make her feel secure and ground her," Ireland explains in the clip as her client shows off her "Liz [Taylor-inspired] master bedroom and living room, which will be remodeled with a starting budget of $125,000.

Anxious for her new rooms to mirror those at Paris' Plaza Athenee hotel, Lohan, 26, tells Ireland that she hopes her new master suite will have a "princess-y, French cottage [feel]."

Now able to call Lohan a personal friend, Ireland, who also counts Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Steve Martin among her clients, couldn't help but poke fun at the star's recent legal troubles on the Million Dollar Decorators episode.

"She's so adorable, but you go from seeing her in The Parent Trap to [on the news for her legal woes]. But who cares! It makes her more interesting," quips Ireland of Lohan, who has been arrested six times and spent 203 days in rehab. "You have to get your first prison sentence out of the way. Like your first marriage. Same thing, really."

Million Dollar Decorators airs Tuesday at 10 p.m. (EST) on Bravo.
