Bad reviews may be the least of Lindsay Lohan's problems.

The Liz and Dick actress, 26, was arrested for allegedly punching a woman at NYC club Avenue, TMZ reports.

In her latest scuffle, Lohan is said to have gotten into a physical altercation with a female clubgoer in the wee hours of Thursday Nov. 29 -- exchanging words before reportedly punching the unidentified woman in the face.

Authorities arrived at the venue and discovered the former Disney star about the leave the scene, sitting the in the passenger seat of a car. Cops then arrested her around 4 a.m. About three hours later, TMZ reports, a "visibly tired" Lohan was in the process of being booked for third-degree misdemeanor assault.

The reported legal trouble, sadly, is nothing new for Lohan, who has gone through five stints in rehab, six prior arrests, countless family fights and 20,274 minutes of jail time over the past several years.

Just a few weeks ago, Lohan sat down with Us Weekly's Jennifer Peros about her new Lifetime Elizabeth Taylor biopic Liz and Dick (which was met with less-than-stellar critical response) and her plans to stay on the straight-and-narrow.

"I want to be known as an actress, not a troubled starlet," Lohan told Us.

"I have it tattooed: LIVE WITHOUT REGRETS. I'm not saying I wanted to go to a jail cell, but I've drawn from all of it."

It's so sad to see someone that displayed as much promise as she did early on degenerate into the waste of space she has become, but that's what happend when a young person develops a sense of entitlement and is permitted by the adults in her life to simply run unchecked and unencumbered by the rules, which most of us are forced to live by when we are in our teens. I'm willing to bet that she will eventually become just another sad Hollywood cautionary tale.

And who is raising the underage kids that are her siblings? Anyone know? Maybe child services should be looking at this family because they obviously crave media attention no matter how ridiculous it makes them look. Neither parent seems to want to be an actual parent. They all want to be in the spotlight and its a travesty

She is a sad excuse for what a productive member of society should be. The only thing she offers right now are stories like this that we don't read for the info, we read it because its like a trainwreck and with any trainwreck you can't help but watch in horror cause you know its not going to be pretty and you somehow can't seem to turn your head away

I don't think LiLo was drinking water w lemon! AA may be able 2 help her but she clearly needs stable + positive people 2 help her. Very sad!
