Three weeks into her gig as X Factor's new cohost, Khloe Kardashian is slowly getting the hang of live TV -- with an assist from mom Kris Jenner**.

Making quite the impression during her Oct. 31 debut alongside Mario Lopez** on FOX's reality hit -- unknowingly flashing her nipple through her sheer blouse to an audience of millions -- Kardasahian now gets progress reports from Jenner after every episode.

"She'll just say little tweaks. In rehearsals [the first week], she was telling me to say my goodbye better," Kardashian, 28, told Us Weekly backstage at a recent taping. "[Producers are] like, 'you have two seconds!' So I'm like, 'Oh, goodbye!' Then they tell you, literally, 'Shut up!' I think that's always going to be a challenge."

As she gets used to appearing on live TV, Kardashian welcomes and appreciates her manager mom's critiques. "It doesn't make me more nervous," says Kardashian of the 56-year-old Kardashian-Jenner family matriarch's input. "I think my mom is hysterical."

Kardashian's husband, NBA star Lamar Odom**, is a bit more candid with his commentary. "The only tip he gave me was 'don't show your nipples anymore,'" Kardashian recounted to Us, referencing her infamous Oct. 31 wardrobe malfunction, which prompted judge Simon Cowell** to wonder if the studio's "air conditioning was on high."

Kidding aside, Kardashian knows she's up against a learning curve, but looks forward to the X Factor field narrowing so she can show off her newly acquired hosting skills. "I'm still learning, trying to get better and better every week," she admits. "I just don't have time to just talk and be myself yet. Right now, it's so technical. When more people [are eliminated], there's going to be more time to fill. That's where I can kind of do my thing."
