Christmas came early for Kate Middleton and Prince William**, who revealed on Monday, Dec. 3, that they're expecting their first child next year. But the royal bundle of joy isn't just a gift for the Duke and Duchess. In fact, the whole world seems to be celebrating the happy news.

Among the first to send their well-wishes to the parents-to-be were President Barack Obama** and First Lady Michelle Obama, who said in a statement: "We extend our congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the welcome news out of London that they are having their first child."

Others are weighing in, too.
