I'ma let you finish, but -- was that Kanye West** wearing a skirt?

The "Clique" rapper stole the show during Wednesday's 12-12-12 concert benefitting Hurricane Sandy relief efforts -- and this time, it wasn't for saying anything outrageous.

West, 35, took to the stage for his performance wearing a black Givenchy leather skirt and leggings combo, a look that immediately drew comments and jokes online.

"Maybe a new item from the Kardashian collection?" one Twitter user quipped.

"Kanye must have swapped suitcases with Kim Kardashian," another commented.

Even celebrities couldn't help weighing in on West's questionable wardrobe choice.

"OK, I admit it. I let Kanye borrow my skirt," Jared Leto chimed in.

West performed a medley of his greatest hits, including "Gold Digger" and "Touch the Sky," during his set, but it was ultimately still his skirt that fans were buzzing about.

A faux Twitter account, @KanyesSkirt, cropped up later on in the evening, releasing several hilarious messages throughout the night and into Thursday morning.

"It seems I'm more popular than @kanyewest's actual performance. Maybe i should think of going solo," one tweet read.

At least the rapper had one fan in girlfriend Kim Kardashian, however.

"Awwwwwwww I'm so excited right now!!!!! He looks so cute!" the 32-year-old reality star gushed.
