Jon Bon Jovi's oldest daughter, Stephanie Rose Bongiovi, was arrested at Hamilton College early on the morning of Nov. 14 after an alleged heroin overdose, Us Weekly has confirmed. (TMZ was first to report the story.)

According to TMZ, Kirkland police answered a call from the Upstate New York school saying that the 19-year-old had overdosed and was unresponsive. Emergency medical personnel found Stephanie alive -- but in possession of illegal substances.

TMZ reports that a drug task force searched the dorm room, where they uncovered a "small quantity" of heroin, along with marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. As a result, Stephanie was taken into custody and charged with multiple misdemeanors. She was eventually released and ordered to appear in court at a later date.

Another student -- a 21-year-old male, according to TMZ -- was also arrested on charges of drug possession.

In a statement to Us Weekly, Hamilton College acknowledged the incident and said the school was working with the Kirkland Police Department to address the issue.

"In addition to violating state law, the actions alleged to have been committed by the students violate Hamilton College policy," the statement read. "The college is cooperating with the police investigation. Our first concern is always for the safety of our students. Out of respect for the privacy of our students and in accordance with federal regulations, we do not discuss individual health or disciplinary matters."

Stephanie is Bon Jovi's only daughter with wife Dorothea Hurley. The couple also have three sons: Jesse James, 17, Jacob Hurley, 10, and Romeo Jon, 8.

The rocker's rep had no comment on the incident.

Whoo...What a relief. All those years of wondering where I went wrong. Asking myself what I did or didn't do for my child to have him be involved in drugs. Turns out I voted the wrong way! Who knew! Until you walk a mile in someone else's shoes, you have no idea. I wish for a full recovery for this girl and everyone else that turns to something to dull the pain or to forget. By the way ..we are middle class( or what is left of it).

Hey, I take offense to the comments below. I grew up very advantaged. Would you write 'tips' to the poor or a certain race? I am sure they are shattered about their daughter. Send them all prayers.

Tips if you're wealthy, or well of! Love your children enough to a Trust Fund work for your children or child! They must, go to college, work helps to give them responsibility and give them structure. Certainly, let them know they will forfeit their money if, they do drugs, become alcoholic's, and try to have you murdered, or they do it themselves! They will not get if anyway If jailed, but just incase they get out.... forfeit! Some might think it's controlling, NO! Hopefully it will keep your children on a good path! And if they're not a responsible person Don't buy them a Car, and definitely not a luxury vehicle, you children should Earn it by showing how responsible they are, with good grades, and graduation!...Whitney Houston set Bobbie Kristina finances for her well, she still have some years before she gets money. She have to be 21..25..and 30 for the bulk of it. Whitney was an addict, but when it came to her daughter, she handle her business! Kudos Whitney! (R.I.P)

I'm at a loss how politics became a factor, but seriously, all these hateful comments? Heroin IS a red alarm drug. I sincerely feel for JBJ. I hope his daughter doesn't become a 'death by drugs' statistic.
