Be it Christmas, Channukah, Kwanza, Festivus, Winter Solstice or "just because," every mom has an annual tradition or two with their kids this time of year -- and Hollywood moms are no different!

From a standing appointment with the Rockettes to some serious time in the kitchen, Us Weekly rounds up what just a few celebs have been up with their families this holiday season.

For Naomi Watts **and partner Liev Schreiber**, "We get as much family together as possible -- grannies and uncles and everybody," the Diana actress, 44, told Us recently. The parents to sons Sasha, 5, and Kai, 4, are also starting new traditions at home. "They're getting into the whole Santa Claus thing now," Watts says. "So we've got the Elf on a Shelf!"

Anne Heche puts her sons Atlas, 3, and Homer, 10, matching pajamas! "It's so cute," the actress, 43, gushes of her little guys with current partner James Tupper and ex-husband Coley Laffoon.

It's baking season for newly single Jennie Garth and Luca, 15, Lola, 10, and Fiona, 6, her daughters with estranged husband Peter Facinelli. "We make cookies for their teachers," the Little Bit Country star tells Us.

Real Housewives of New Jersey's Melissa Gorga,** meanwhile, crosses the George Washington Bridge with Antonia, 7, Gino, 5, and Joey, 2, her kids with hubby Joe, for some yuletide entertainment in NYC. "We see the Radio City Christmas show," the Bravo star, 33, says.

Switched at Birth actress Constance Marie and yoga instructor hubby Kent Katich, meanwhile, make it fun for their daughter Luna, 3: Leaving a candy trail from the chimney to the Christmas tree "to show where Santa was!" Marie, 47, explains.

@DSIL....you're right. Most celebs rarely mention that they go to midnight mass on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning before opening up their gifts. Back in the UK, I went to midnight mass EVERY Christmas Eve without fail. Although we didn't always go on Christmas morning. It's only as I've gotten older that I've decided not to follow organized religion, but I celebrate Christmas because I am spiritual, even if I don't belong to ANY one religion. Also, I was taught that Jesus was born in July back when I was in Sunday school. But I have no clue if that's accurate or not. Oh and as far as giving at Christmas. Personally, I'm very fortunate to be where I am in life which I never take for granted since I grew up in poverty. So I give all year round. But on Christmas I give the homeless man in the town I work $100 All year round I buy him coffee or food. But Christmas I give him $100 so it's the one day he can go sleep somewhere and have a shower and clean up. Not to mention I drop off coats to stores that collect for foster kids etc. but I obviously spend more on my loved ones. And I don't feel one ounce of guilt about it. I work my arse off for my money. So I get to spoil them one day out of the year. Merry Christmas to you DSIL, and of course to you all xoxox

God gave His Son to us to show us how to live. Christ gave of himself to all and we who celebrate his birth should do the same in a small way. Giving to those who have nothing. What a great feeling it is to make a homeless feel needed. Think when your opening your gifts there are people getting nothing, cuz no one cares. Not very Christlike is it? Sad world we live in when all we think about is.. wonder what great gift I'll get. Then if I don't like it exchange it. What do the poor exchange? Just a thought.

Notice the celebs never mention Christ, but gifts and more gifts. Is that what Christmas is about? The only time they mention Christ is when they say Merry Christmas. Do we really know when Christ was born? No we don't that is why we should celebrate His birth everyday.

I just got home from last second Christmas shopping. Literally, Macy's closed while I was being rung up at the register. I felt awful for keeping the girl back. Since I wasn't well, I had to have my hubby do all the shopping but I wanted him to have a little something that he didn't know he was getting. So now I'm home, ready to wrap. He had some hot chocolate ready for me coming in, since its 9pm and I'm unable to keep anything down, food wise. He's a good soul. Tomorrow, if I'm able, I'm going to go into work for a few hours. Since I run my own business, I don't get time off. Even if I'm sick. So hopefully I'll take care of things and then be able to take the rest of the day to spend it with my family. That's my 'tradition'. Unfortunately, the last 16 Christmases have included working, but that's the nature of the business I'm in. Merry Christmas to you all. Hope you all have a wonderful day with your loved ones :)
