Billy Ray Cyrus** can't wait to walk daughter Miley Cyrus down the aisle -- and he might get to do it more than once!

The country singer, 51, made his big Broadway debut Monday, Nov. 5 in the musical Chicago in NYC. Following the performance, Billy Ray chatted with Us Weekly at an after party at Victor's Cafe presented by Voli Light Vodka.

The father of six (Brandi, Trace, Christopher, Miley, Braison and Noah) told Us his family didn't attend his opening show while the patriarch gets settled in. "I think everybody is letting me get in the groove first," he explained.

The "Achy Breaky Heart" crooner is doing the same for his most famous daughter when it comes to her wedding to Liam Hemsworth**. Back in June, Miley, 19, became engaged to Last Song costar, 22, after dating for three years.

"Liam asked if he could have my daughter's hand in marriage, and I said yes if I could be in his brother's next movie," Cyrus joked of Thor actor Chris Hemsworth**.

And, referencing a recent rumor, the father of the bride-to-be claimed that his daughter and future son-in-law are planning on having not one but three wedding ceremonies. "Now, they [Miley and Liam] are going to have three weddings, so I'm thinking one movie with Chris, then we got the sequel to Liam's new movie [Hunger Games: Catching Fire] coming out. They have got three weddings, that has to be three movies for me," he joked.

While Billy Ray said he doesn't know when any of those bashes might be, he is looking forward to walking Miley down the aisle.

"I actually sent her a note just last night that I do look forward to that moment whenever that time is," he explained. Cyrus became emotional watching a speech by Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano. "During the halftime, he told his team he wanted another Super Bowl trophy and he had two daughters he wanted to walk down the aisle. When I saw that last night, this guy that's battling Leukemia, and the fact that he is talking to his team saying, 'I want to hoist that trophy and walk my daughters down the aisle.' I immediately texted Miley and said, 'I just want you to know, whenever you're ready, I'm going to be very proud to walk you down that aisle.' She was like, 'Daddy!' with two smiley faces! That coach and that moment touched me."

I can understand why they would have two weddings since his family is in Australia and they live in LA, but I'm not sure where the third one would be...maybe Nashville? Oh well its their money. @Newbie,I totally agree with the eloping! My husband and I went to Miami and got married on the beach, just he and I. It is a special memory for just the two of us! :)

Why even bother wasting all that money? Donate it to charity since you'll be divorced within a year or so anyway...

I was actually supposed to have two weddings myself. Being that I'm from the UK I was going to have one here in the States, and another at home in Scotland in between my initial wedding and going on my honeymoon. However, about two months into planning my first one, my mother in law to be turned into a demonic monster. Which to me was a sign to elope. Almost 11 years later, I don't regret eloping. It was a great day and her loss with only herself to blame. Being that his family are on the other side of the world, I can understand 2 weddings. Being that they're both young and rich, I can equally understand 3 weddings. Why not enjoy one of the best days of your life as many times as you can?? Good for them!

Wasteful. Considering Hollywood marriages don't even make it 3 years max.

I have heard of this done before for people who are extremely wealthy and have families in multiple countries or states. Hey more power to them. They have the money to do it and they are putting the money into the economy so no big deal!

REALLY??? 3 weddings?? Why not donate that extra cash to a good cause like ASPCA, it would be more meaningful and last longer.
