Bethenny Frankel** isn't "Hoppy."

Frankel certainly butted heads with husband Jason Hoppy on the third season of Bravo's Bethenny Ever After. But sources tell Us Weekly** the reality is now worse.

"Things have gotten even more strained in recent months," says a pal. "They're fighting a lot."

The arguments have become so heated, they're increasingly spending time apart. The fledgling talk-show host, 42, took a girls' getaway in late November, while businessman Hoppy, 41, went golfing the day of Skinnygirl's Christmas party December 7.

One ongoing conflict: differing career ambitions. Says a source, "She's very focused, but he's just not driven."

The couple, who tied the knot in March 2010, are parents to daughter Bryn, 2.

Is a separation next?

"Bethenny's unhappy," adds an insider, "but she really wants to make it work."

Truthfully, I think she needs him to keep her grounded. He seems to be the calming force to her craziness, but it's hard to break free from demons the likes of which she has in her past. I suspect that that's part of what's causing issues for her. I think people who have never lived through the type of poverty that she has can not possibly understand her drive to insure that she and her daughter are always provided for. She shouldn't be condemned for that!!

He knew this was going to be successful, he knew what he was marrying before he got married he is working beside her and the business, if he didn't agree why did he sign up to this marriage. he knew how driven she was and is now I think there's nothing wrong it just people speculating

It sounds like it may be over for these two..I loved them together and hope they make it work, if not for Bryn's sake. I think he is **** down jealous that she is more successful than he, and that can cause a huge rift, resentment for a man. She has worked her (cotton) tail off for yrs to get the success she has had. Good for her! I love her, even though she is a bit kooky.

She is a nut, has no Family back ground, her mom left her, and she raised herself. He is very family oriented, wants and likes to spend time with his family, so that's a big difference they must learn to overcome. Seems all she cares about is her business, talk show and making money. But really in the end, family should come first. Her husband should be first on her list of priorities. He seems like such a down to earth and genuinely nice person. I hope they make it, for their daughters sake.
