Alison Sweeney: Biggest Loser Season Is
September 30, 2009

Alison Sweeney admits this season of The Biggest Loser -- which showed two contestants going to the hospital on the Sept. 15 premiere -- is "scary."
"It's a difficult experience. What people don't realize is that when you are that out of shape and you haven't been doing anything to move your body, your body is in for a rude awakening," the host, 33, told Usmagazine.com at the Rock a Little, Feed a Lot benefit concert in Los Angeles Tuesday.
During a one-mile run challenge, Tracey collapsed near the finish line and was airlifted to a hospital. Mo was treated for dehydration.
"It certainly was scary to me this season, but we have a lot of medical staff backing us up and making sure they are OK," Sweeney says. "If anything, it's a lesson. Get out there and walk and move your body."
When asked if the show is safe, Sweeney insists, "Absolutely!"

She says the players underestimate how tough it will be to compete on the ABC show.
"The Biggest Losers contestants always come and say, 'I didn't realize it was going to be this hard. I thought it was just TV.' I mean, do you watch the show?" she tells Us.
Despite the rough start, she says the season is "going great. I think people are really relating to how amazing the contestants are and how sincere they are and I just think they are making a big difference."

Plus, it's keeping Sweeney -- who welcomed daughter Megan Hope in January -- "motivated to hit the gym," she admits.

Kitty cat not all big people r as immobile as you're implying. I happen to be a 'big' person and I run my *** off on a daily basis. I don't trim down as fast as someone smaller would. I know some very trim people who can bare climb a flight of stairs without getting winded. Don't categorize people, you have no idea what we r capable of.

i have never seen the show but maybe they should tone it down a little if they are having to call the paramedics.

It's unrealistic to think people that big can run they can barely walk.they haven't used their muscles and just to walk a block is hard for them.i don't watch the show this season. It does prove however that some people can lose weight that way,i hate seeing the man ti*s when the men get weighed, that's why i quit watching

Love this show. I cry almost every episode. Especially when tracy talks about her family. I don't get nbc here so have to catch it a week late online.

This is one of my favorite shows and I can say for certain that The Biggest Loser is aired on NBC- not ABC as Us reports.
